Railings must be drilled with a hole 1 5/8 to accept the tenon of the spindle. Railings have square cut ends and will need to be manipulated or tenoned for your own personal application. Please note that this is NOT an assembled kit. There is no pre-drilling done , nor can we offer it. This listing provides the correct amount of raw materials needed for an 8ft long horizontal railing. Spindles are roughly 3 inches in diameter. White Cedar accepts stain to look like white pine. Posts vary from 5"-6" in diameter.
