We are here to sell items! The inspiration for Baxter's Building Supply Company came from the prototype in Sellersvile, Pennsylvania. Although the model has similar characteristics to the prototype, it has been reworked in many areas to make it more detailed, interesting, and smaller. An article on the prototype buildings appeared in the May 1960 Model Railroader Magazine. Very complex well designed craftsman kit, This will take someone weeks if not months to build.
These kits were done in limited quantities and the company closed in 2014. The first photo is of how the kit will look when completed. Some items in the photo are not included (Autos).
5 sheets of Detailed Instructions. Fine Scale Miniatures was founded by George Sellius in 1966. He started making HO kits in his basement, producing about 3000 of his first kit which was a small water tank.
These kits are of high craftsmanship made of wood, plastic, and metal castings. He began making limited run kits which were very popular.
George built the kits all by himself. After 48 years he retired with "The Jamestown Water Stop" being his last kit.
